“My husband, John, is the strongest and most selfless person I know. He is our biggest cheerleader and always puts us first. We’ve had a challenging 5 years and he has been everyone’s rock through it all.
In 2017, his father was diagnosed with ALS and John stood in as a caregiver to help his mom until his dad’s passing in 2019. Three months after his dad passed, I was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer and went through 8 months of treatment during which he took care of our 8-month-old and four-year-old. Halfway through my treatment my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer.
John never wavered. He stepped down from his main job as a head swim coach, where he made a positive impact on so many swimmers, to help take care of me, my dad, my mom, his mom, and our kids.
John is the true definition of a superhero and we couldn’t be more blessed to have this man continue to take care of us and look out for us and most of all love us with every ounce he has.”
