“I used to bring my 3-year-old son to the grocery and he would never sit still in the cart. One day I finally said, “If you want out so bad then go!” I took him out and chased him all over the store, encouraging him to run faster and further. I did this a total of three times and after that he had no interest in exploring anymore. He knew where everything was and it was no longer new or exciting. I was the envy of all the moms who were wrestling their children to stay in the cart.”
