Father Figures: Up and In

“My husband has always been a hard-working, supportive man. But this was even more apparent when I became pregnant.
From the beginning, I’ve had severe symptoms, Covid, and then complications, resulting in me changing to part-time work and cutting our income nearly in half. I was so nervous about what we’d do financially and about how to help our baby stay healthy and alive.
From day one, my husband has stepped in and stepped up. He worked hard to get a new job that paid better and had benefits for our baby. He got me any food I wanted or needed, even if it was late or he wasn’t hungry. He catered to my needs every day, even encouraging me to stop working so I could focus on my last semester of college and my health.
As we’ve entered the second trimester, baby has been getting much better and is growing big and strong. My husband continues to be a constant physical and emotional support to me, tolerating every mood swing, every bout of nausea, every random craving or complaint. He excitedly puts together each piece of furniture we get for the nursery. He kisses baby goodnight and tells her to keep growing!
I could not have chosen a better husband and father of our little girl.
(This is him in his ultimate dad-to-be outfit. Just missing the new balance shoes!)”
