Nothing Says Romance Like a Bouquet of Toilet Paper

Of all the inconveniences brought on by the global pandemic, being stuck inside is among the biggest (not to mention the most crucial for stemming the tide of this thing!). Sure, we all love our families and we all enjoy binge-watching via Netflix and every other streaming platform, but there are a lot of aspects to the quarantine that are less than pleasant. Especially if you didn’t get to the store in time and you don’t happen to have 3 seashells.
From the minute this thing got real, people were flocking to stores and stocking up on hand sanitizer, disinfectant, masks, gloves, non-perishable foods and, last but not least – in fact, maybe even most – toilet paper.
Toilet paper has become something of a luxury these days, as we come to terms with the fact that in order to contain the Coronavirus, we need to stay inside for a while. And nobody wants to be caught without some TP. But if you didn’t move quickly enough – and/or you expected people to be a little bit more rational and NOT hoard items – you might be, well, shit out of luck.
So people are getting creative. And I don’t mean using leaves. I mean putting images of toilet paper on their Tinder profiles. Or, in this case, enticing people to patronize their business by tempting them with bountiful blooms of TP.
That’s what one florist in Arkansas did, shifting gears to send out a slightly different kind of bouquet.
This is love in the time of Coronavirus.
Blossom Events and Florist of Trumann, Arkansas posted a Facebook photo of one of their employees holding a bouquet of toilet paper in an attempt to get the customers rolling in.
The caption reads: 🌹Work Flow …. Show ❤️ to Someone Special with this Unique and Fabulous Bouquet 💐 🤷🏽♂️Why Be Ordinary when You can Be EXTRAordinary ✨🧻
Complete with that toilet paper emoji.
The post generated a flood of attention, generating 11,000 likes and 139,000 shares on Facebook. Nothing says romance like proper hygiene, especially when toilet paper has become a rare commodity. So surprise your significant other with the gift that keeps on wiping and get your hands on a toilet paper bouquet!
