Elizabeth Olsen Teases Luke Skywalker Level Cameo in WandaVision

The first four episodes of WandaVision have really been something. Marvel’s first foray into television has thus far been decidedly unlike any of the film installments that have dominated multiplexes for the past decade. And while Wanda and Vision’s show wasn’t originally intended to be the first one to air, it makes sense that it was.
The first three episodes played with classic TV formats, aping sitcoms from the 50s, 60s, and 70s as the two less-than-major Avengers settled into bizarre domestic bliss in an initially black and white sitcom world. And then things started getting really weird. By the end of episode 3, they were having twins, and when episode 4 came around, it was made clear that this TV-style world exists by Wanda’s design. But that sometimes interlopers are able to penetrate the WandavVision bubble.
Now, according to star Elizabeth Olsen herself, someone else may be appearing on the show that will totally burst that bubble for good.
Speaking with TVLine, Olsen expressed excitement at the show’s remaining episodes and hinted that a major character would be showing up soon. She was asked if WandaVision had any Luke-Skywalker-on-The-Mandalorian type surprises in store, and she quickly responded, “Yes!”
She didn’t give any further hints but said that “I’m really excited” for fans to see what – or who – is to come.
Speculation is already rampant on social media about what character could make a surprise appearance on the show. The first four episodes were rife with references – both blatant and minute – to characters from the movies, like Baron von Strucker, and figures from the comics, like Mephisto.
But the biggest name floating around has been the X-Men’s Magneto, who has a relationship with Wanda in the comics and could be a part of the MCU’s future plans now that the mutants are entering the fold. Unfortunately for Fassbender (or McKellan) fans, it sounds more like the character will be one we already know from the MCU.
Regardless of who shows up, the show has definitely entered a new gear with the reveals in episode 4, and the trailer showcasing scenes from the rest of the season promises some major fireworks. The show’s creator, Jac Schaeffer said, “there are so many surprises left in store”.
We’ll be watching to find out!
