Brewing Co. Releases ‘Dad Bod’ Beer Just in Time for Father’s Day

Moms are often the unsung heroes of the household, so it makes sense that Mother’s Day is such a major occasion.
Father’s Day however often goes by with little fanfare or celebration, but one brewing company out of Baltimore, Maryland is showing a little love to dads with a limited edition IPA.
The brew, dubbed ‘Dad Bod’, is “a juicy, golden, double IPA that’s comfortable, easy drinking and simply unintimidating,” traits most fathers can relate to on some level.
The packaging certainly nails the dad aesthetic.

The bright, lime green can is covered in tiny drawings of everything dads love including grills, recliners and little remote controls. On the reverse, an illustration of a classic dad bod dressed in a wacky button up shirt. There’s even a tv remote in the shirt pocket.
DuClaw Brewing Company, the brains behind this stunning tribute to pot bellies and barbecue, says the double IPA has 8.5% ABV and may just be “the most unintimidating double IPA ever,”
The brewing company further describes ‘Dad Bod’ as a “hop-forward mix of floral and tropical fruits accented by notes of tangerine,” a blend of ingredients as eclectic as your own father’s collection of ties.
While there’s no shortage of clever craft beers these days – DuClaw alone, for example, has dozens – based on the design alone, this one looks pretty damn impressive.
DuClaw says pints should hit shelves in several states by the end of May, just in time for your Father’s Day festivities.
So this year on Dad’s day – Sunday, June 16th – why not kick back with a 4 pack of the 16oz tribute to fatherhood?
Cheers to you, Dads!
