Son Teaches Dad Viral Tiktok Dance and It’s 100% Guaranteed To Make You Smile

Maybe it’s my age, maybe it’s my complete lack of coordination, but viral TikTok dances aren’t something I’ve paid a whole lot of attention to over the … years? Months? It’s hard to say when that whole trend started because realistically, there’s no reason the majority of us would have that sort of thing on our radars. But every once in a while, even the trends we don’t participate in lead to content that we can all thoroughly appreciate.
A recent TikTok trend known to The Youth as “Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Body’ challenge” has users submitting their own videos of the dance. Sentences like that briefly make me worry I forgot English, but basically, all you need to know is that a bunch of people on TikTok are trying to learn and perform a dance to a song called Body, with mixed results.
A TikTok user named jayscotttttt has been posting videos with his dad for a while now, but recently, he attempted to teach his hilarious dad the “Body” dance and we genuinely don’t need to see anyone else’s submissions.
Whenever Jay and his dad appear together in a TikTok, we’re smiling before the video even begins. The pair manage to pull together the most incredible outfits, from hot pink suits to matching sweats with backwards hats and of course, some stylish shades.
In their “Body” challenge videos, Jay’s dad is an incredible sport – he watches his son perform a move, and to the best of his ability, mimics the same move. He has a quiet energy about him that renders us completely incapable of looking away, and honestly, dude’s got moves.

He takes Jay’s notes and runs with them, and clearly, he’s enjoying himself. Jay’s dad copies both his moves and his verbal instructions, focusing so hard you’d think he was learning to dismantle a bomb. Fortunately, Jay posts an update (from the looks of it, after a lot of practice) with the final product. Sure, the dance itself is great – but the best part is watching how much fun this father-son duo have together. Trends come and go, but that kind of bond is forever.
