Hi. It's Bob.
To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week.
And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.

More recently the star thanked fans for all the support and love he’s received while he’s in the hospital.
Odenkirk shared the update on Twitter a week after he entered the hospital after collapsing on set. “I am doing great,” he wrote. “I’ve had my very own ‘It’s a wonderful life’ week of people insisting I make the world slightly better. Wow! Thank you, I love everyone right now but let’s keep expectations reasonable!”

It’s hard to understate how funny “let’s keep expectations reasonable” is after going through a very scary situation. It’s the clearest sign that he’s going to be OK because he can be funny and heartfelt at the same time.
There has been unanimous support for Odenkirk. It’s so rare to see that on social media in 2021, but everyone seems to love the comedic actor who broke out in “Breaking Bad” but established himself in comedy circles with “Mr. Show.”
There have been countless stories shared on social media during Odenkirk’s hospitalization about his character, his impact on younger actors and improvisers, and just general good wishes for his recovery and declarations of how much he’s meant to many actors and fans.
Odenkirk said he’s going to take a beat to recover before resuming his show. AMC’s CEO is in full support of one of their biggest stars, saying: “it’s close to impossible to spend any time around Bob without developing great appreciation for his talents and spirit and who he is as a person. We are so glad he’s on the mend…and wish him all the best in his recovery.”
