The pandemic wreaked havoc on the movie industry, delaying countless movies, forcing blockbusters to go to streaming, completely upending Marvel’s carefully laid plans. But over the past few months, movies that were delayed are finally seeing the light of day, sometimes in theaters and on streaming simultaneously. But a few movies refuse to debut until the landscape improves, in particular Tom Cruise’s Top Gun sequel, and Daniel Craig’s final James Bond.
Bond was supposed to come out last year and has been delayed indefinitely. It seems like this fall will finally see 007 return, and the release of the final trailer for No Time To Die is a good indication that they’re done waiting.
The trailer doesn’t show us much new, but it does show us some old, in the form of flashbacks to Craig’s previous installments. This makes it even more apparent that Craig is on his way out. But will he die, or just ride off into the sunset? The trailer teases quite the finale: “Every mission, every sacrifice, has led to this. Nothing can prepare you for the epic conclusion.”
